my old testament challenge

there are 1184 pages in the king james version of the old testament. there are 184 days left in the year [coincidence, honestly].
if i read six and half pages a day, i will have it finished by the end of the year. no commentaries, no cross-referencing, just reading the old testament all the way through.
here we go.

Hey, I've got something that might help!: The King James Bible on DVD (Don't know whose brilliant idea that one was.)

Good luck with the Old Testament. The OT is tough to digest. Listening to the audio book during my commute just about put me to sleep, which can be a bad thing behind the wheel.

well that's an interesting idea.... : )

actually, i'm a sucker for the old testament. i've read half of it, found leviticus to be more interesting than i expected, but deuteronomy was a challenge. still, a lot of good stories.

Be sure to check out The Brick Testament as a supplement to your reading. It's interesting, if somewhat irreverent.

wow... that is really interesting. i wasn't sure if it was supposed to be funny or serious, but the story of the garden of eden was actually done really well.

then i saw 'the story of er and onan'.... : (

Hooray! The Old Testament is my favorite. Too bad we always just skim over it...oh well, I guess my appreciation of the OT is somewhat anomalous...

Hey Jeff.... Since I know you're a fan of Radiohead, I was bugging Chris to email you this link. He kept forgetting so I'm taking matters into my own hands. Here's a cool Flash version of Radiohead's "Creep" that I think you might enjoy.

I've decided that I'd be willing to give you $5 the next time I see you if you are actually reading the Bible on your Gameboy Advance.

Where did you go? That's alright, I know that my journal writing falls off whenever exciting things start happening. So I'll imagine that you've been inducted into the NDS (don't ask what it stands for -- I can't legally tell you) to perform covert operations in Sweden, involving a large pink Easter bunny suit, some kind of experimental rocket-laser-hand-grenade device, three kinds of ham sandwiches, and licit (as opposed to illicit) associations with beautiful Scandinavian women. Good luck Agent Samarkand. Don't fail us now!

Brother. You should update. Because I am blogging now too, and it's boring if I check your blog and find nothing new. And how did you end up with a random portuguese comment on your blog? I guess you've made a new friend (but you don't speak Portuguese...or Spanish)
